The students at Boys Town All Age School were treated during Reggae Month this year with a visit from recording artist Kabaka Pyramid.  Kabaka spoke about his journey as an artist and how the philosophy of Rastafari has enhanced his life.  He expressed the importance of things like reading, studying, and yearning to know more about the world through research.  He also stressed the need to be passionate about knowing who you are, and the power of your generation and lineage.

He was joined by his manager Abishi Hoilet who also brought a message about the positive nature of Rastafari.

The students were also blessed with a powerful reasoning by the chairman of the Denis Brown Trust a.k.a ‘Mr. Boys Town’ and world known producer, Junior Lincoln who explained in detail why Trench Town has been, is, and will always be important to the world.  He expressed that the people of Trench Town, through their words, and actions, have influenced the world.  He also issued a challenge to the students to make sure to uphold that reputation by being proud to carry the torch for Trench Town.
